Article / Mafube summit
Keeping local businesses working is an investment priority.
A business already serving customers has people, relationships and working knowledge in place. Its constraints should be taken seriously.
01
Listen to the operating problem
An existing enterprise may need dependable services, predictable deliveries, a contract pipeline or a way to replace ageing equipment. Asking what is blocking production can identify a more immediate opportunity than starting from a new project concept.
02
Make the cost of inaction clear
Describe the issue with examples: interruptions per month, lost orders, added transport cost or delayed payments. Explain what has already been tried. Good evidence helps the right institution or partner understand the task.
03
Agree a specific response
A useful conversation ends with a named person, a document to exchange and a date for the next check-in. The Retain track at the summit is designed around that discipline. It cannot solve every issue on the day, but it can make the next step visible.
