How to make a summit meeting useful.
The best meeting is usually the one that ends with a clear exchange of information and a realistic next step.
01
Know who you need to meet
Think in terms of decisions, not job titles. A business looking for a customer needs a different conversation from a developer checking grid capacity or a grower looking for storage. State the decision and the information that person would need.
02
Bring a useful summary
Prepare a short description of what you do, what is ready, what is uncertain and what you seek. Keep contact details and supporting documents available. Avoid presenting a projected outcome as an agreed commitment.
03
Record the follow-up
Before leaving, agree who will send what, to whom, and by when. One accountable action is more useful than a long list of vague introductions. Keep your own record and check back on the agreed date.
